Evan Longoria also known as "Longo" is a Major League Ball player know for his years with the Tampa Bay Rays and currently plays in San Francisco playing for the Giants as a third baseman. Evan has always had a passion for American Muscle Cars as he grew up in California and always dreamt of being able to fully customize a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. As Evan grew to the star he is today he was finally able to take on the project of carefully designing and customizing the Camaro of his dreams.
The journey started when Evan was living in Florida when contracted with the Rays he purchased the '69 Camaro SS. The first upgrade that was done to the vehicle was the engine. Evan decided to go with the infamous LS1 Motor and when that wasn't enough he choose to slap a Whipple Supercharger on the motor to produce ungodly horsepower. The Interior was already in the state that Evan preferred with the Houndstooth to give off an "Old American Muscle Car" feel with the superior engineering of the LS1 to have best of both worlds. While the Camaro was receiving the new motor Evan decided to get some more accessories added such as; 6-Speed Transmission, Oversized Sway Bars, Wilwood Disc Brakes, FlowMaster Exhaust, and added American Racing Wheels.
As the years went by in 2017 Evan found himself and his family residing in AZ while contracted for the San Francisco Giants. Evan found himself at Browns Classic Autos in Scottsdale AZ looking to find a solution to a slight issue that he was having with the Camaro. That issue was not having enough traction to the wheels when accelerating at high RPM's. That's when mechanic Jack Reigelsperger from Browns Classic Autos added a Back Half to the Camaro along with Mini Tubs and a 4-Link Suspension. A Narrowed 9" Rear End, Rear Locker along with a Hytes 4-link suspension has much improved the hook up with the wheels and the horse power can now be fully obtained and enjoyed. The restoration project has reached well over $150K in parts and accessories and still has under 5,000 miles since Evan had purchased and upgraded the vehicle and would be a absolute gem to add to any collection.
